NewsAir Guitar Competition Shreds The NationDetails regarding the fifth annual US Air Guitar Championships are beginning to roll in, inspiring axe-less axe men and women across the country to dust off their invisible Les Pauls and get ready to rock. Joining forces with GMG Entertainment, the 2007 US Air Guitar Championship will embark on a 14-city hunt for a top shredder, with MC Bjorn Turoque, star of Air Guitar Nation and author of To Air Is Human, along for the June trek. But that's not all. Come August 14, preliminary winners will fly to New York for the final showdown, where one lucky guitarist will walk away with the coveted US championship title in addition to advancing to the World Air Guitar Championships held in Oulu, Finland, where representatives from at least 13 other countries will continue the competition. The quartet's latest album, 'Carnavas', has sold 110,000 copies to date, putting it in Billboard's Top 200 for several weeks.
